Green Drop Report Released

So after months of waiting we finally have the dreaded Green Drop report, and unfortunately it’s what we expected. It found that more than 75% of South Africa’s sewage treatment plants are not up to standard. Of the 852 waste water treatment plants, 403 weren’t even good enough to be assessed! Where's the Green Drop report ?

Here at Water Solutions we’ve been saying for some time that the impending water crises in this country is going to make our Eskom problems look like a simple hicup. Anthony Turton, the CSIR researcher, who was gagged last year from presenting his findings on South Africa’s pending water crises said, “…do we wish to avert the water crisis now before it happens or are we to be content with the status quo, happy to deal with it after it has been thrust upon us, like the electricity crisis was?”
